The dashboard is the first page you see: today's jobs on a map, and for owners and admins, how the business is doing. Notifications collects the things that need you and the dates coming up, so nothing slips.
What the dashboard shows
Everyone sees the map and the day's jobs, with a date picker to look at another day and View full schedule to open the schedule. Staff whose role only sees their own jobs see just those.
If staff clock in and out of their day, an attendance panel shows whether you're clocked in, with Clock in or Clock out.
The overview for owners and admins
People who can see all jobs also get an Overview, for This week, This month or This year. It shows Jobs done, Hours worked, Recurring jobs, Active clients and Completed without issues, each compared with the period before, and a chart of the last 12 weeks.
Below it, This month shows Work done, Margin, Collected and Owed now, with Open reporting for the detail. The dashboard follows the division picked in the menu.
The notifications bell
The bell beside your name in the menu, and on the dashboard, opens Notifications. The red number is how many things are new since you last looked. Opening the page clears it.
Dated items count as new again as the date gets closer, for example 30, 14 and 7 days before and on the day.
Needs you
Needs you is for owners and admins. These items stay until the problem is dealt with.
- Timesheets with clock-ins or job times that need review.
- Job notes staff flagged for the office. On a job note that's Flag for follow-up on the web and Office follow-up needed in the app.
- An accounting connection that needs reconnecting.
- For the owner only: a failed subscription payment, or an automatic task that failed.
Coming up
Coming up lists dates before they arrive. Owners and admins tick an item as dealt with, and it comes back if the date changes.
- Service reminders, 30 days ahead. Staff tagged on a reminder see their own a month and a week before.
- Vehicle MOT, road tax, insurance and service dates, 30 days ahead.
- Driving licences on the drivers page, 90 days ahead.
- Safety document reviews, and contract end and rollover dates, 30 days ahead.
- Invoices falling due and quotes expiring, 14 days ahead.
Emails
Owners and admins choose their emails under Email notifications in My profile. Everything is off until you tick it. Staff and subcontractors don't get these emails.
Owners always get billing problem emails, whatever they tick, because a failed payment pauses the business after 7 days. Invitations and welcome emails for new staff always go out.
- Email me when a team member is added.
- Email me when someone joins the organisation.
- Email me when staff access changes, when someone is paused, resumed or removed.
- Email me about billing problems, for admins.
Your profile
Select your name at the top of the menu to open My profile. You can change your Full name and Phone, set or change your password with Update password, and Sign out.
Your email, role, divisions and other details are shown but can't be changed here. If you already have a password, Fieldfare emails a code to confirm the change.

Questions
Does the phone app send notifications?
No. Notifications are on the web. Staff see their jobs and to-dos in the app.
Can I get rid of a notification?
Tick Mark as dealt with on a Coming up item. Items under Needs you go when the problem is sorted, such as the timesheet being reviewed.
Can staff see Notifications?
Yes, but only service reminders they're tagged on. Business-wide dates and the Needs you column are for owners and admins.
Why do I get billing emails when I haven't ticked them?
Owners always get them, so a failed card payment is never missed.
