What this guide covers
- How to open the timesheets area on mobile.
- How to log time cleanly while working.
- How mobile time entries support later admin review.
How it works
Mobile timesheets are for quick, reliable entry in the field. They should be fast enough to use during the day without turning into a vague memory exercise later.
Log the time close to when it happened, then add the small amount of context needed to keep the entry understandable at week review.
Common workflows
Log time as the day moves
Open the timesheets area during the shift and keep the record current while the work is still fresh.
Add the note that explains the exception
When the day was unusual, leave a short note so admin do not have to guess later.
Steps
Open the timesheets area
Mobile app -> Timesheets tab or Actions- 1Open `Timesheets` from the bottom tab bar if it is available for your role.
- 2If the tab is replaced with `To-do list`, use the timesheets action available in the mobile flow your organisation provides.
- 3Check the current day or week before adding the entry.
Log your time
Timesheets -> Add entry- 1Add the hours for the right day.
- 2Choose the most accurate purpose or linked context available.
- 3Save the entry before moving on so the record stays current.
Leave a useful note when needed
Timesheets -> Day note- 1Add a note only when the day needs explanation.
- 2Keep it short and factual, such as weather delays, access issues, or a change of plan.
- 3Return to the main list once the update is saved.
Tips and gotchas
- Log time close to the work. It is faster and more accurate than rebuilding the day later.
- If the bottom tabs differ on your account, check your permissions and mobile app customisation settings.
- Notes should explain the exception, not narrate the whole day.
