Timesheets on web HQ

Review the week, add or correct time entries, and keep notes tidy before payroll or billing follow-up.

What this guide covers

  • How to review timesheets by week.
  • How to add or correct entries and notes.
  • How to use timesheets as an admin clean-up surface.

How it works

Web HQ is the weekly review surface for timesheets. It gives admins the broader context they need to tidy entries, review notes, and prepare for the next downstream step.

Use timesheets to confirm what happened, not just to store hours. Day notes, purpose, and linked work make the record easier to trust later.

Common workflows

Review the current week

Open the week, scan for gaps or unexpected entries, and correct issues before they roll further downstream.

Add admin clean-up detail

Update entries, notes, or attendance-related detail when the field record needs finishing properly.

Steps

Open the right week

Web HQ -> Timesheets
  1. 1Open `Timesheets` from the main nav.
  2. 2Use the week controls to move to the correct period.
  3. 3Choose the team member or weekly view that answers your current review task.

Add or correct entries

Timesheets -> Entry dialog
  1. 1Open the day or row that needs updating.
  2. 2Add the hours, purpose, and linked context as clearly as possible.
  3. 3Save the change and rescan the week so the totals still make sense.

Use notes to keep the record clear

Timesheets -> Day note or notes history
  1. 1Add a day note when the team needs to explain what changed or why a day does not look normal.
  2. 2Review notes history if the week has already been adjusted more than once.
  3. 3Keep the note short and operational so it stays useful later.

Tips and gotchas

  • Review by week, not just by isolated entry, so odd totals stand out quickly.
  • Use day notes for exceptions and context, not for repeating obvious information.
  • If the time issue starts with how work was run on-site, fix the workflow as well as the record.
