Health and safety - Fieldfare mobile app

Check safety detail in the field, add new assessments when needed, and keep the record up to date while the work is happening.

What this guide covers

  • How to open health and safety records on mobile.
  • How to check the safety detail before starting work.
  • How to add or update an assessment from the field.

How it works

Mobile health and safety records help the team check the right detail while they are on-site. The key aim is to keep the hazards and controls easy to read when they matter most.

If something has changed on-site, update the assessment while the detail is still fresh rather than relying on memory later.

Common workflows

Check the assessment before starting

Open the record, review the key hazards, and make sure the team understands the controls.

Update the record in the field

If something has changed, edit the assessment while you are still on-site.

Steps

Open the safety record

Mobile app -> More -> Health & Safety
  1. 1Open `More`, then go to `Health & Safety`.
  2. 2Open the assessment linked to the site or job you are working on.
  3. 3Read the hazards and controls before the work begins.

Use the record on-site

Assessment detail -> Hazards and controls
  1. 1Check the key risks before starting the job.
  2. 2Make sure the controls still match the real conditions on-site.
  3. 3Pause and update the record if something important has changed.

Add or update an assessment

Health & Safety -> Assessment form
  1. 1Create a new assessment if the site needs one and it is not there yet.
  2. 2Update the hazards, controls, or notes if the old version is no longer right.
  3. 3Save the assessment before moving on so the rest of the team can see the latest version.

Tips

  • Read the safety record before the job starts, not halfway through.
  • If a hazard changes, update the record while you are still on-site.
  • Keep the wording short and clear so the next person can read it quickly.
